Tempe “Bacon”

Tempe "Bacon" can taste surprisingly like pork bacon when seasoned right with smoked flavor, and if that is what you are looking for. If you cook, you can find great recipes on the internet, or there my be restaurants in your city that do "fake" meats. Tempe is healthy so it's a win/win for your body and your taste buds.

Seitan Stir Fry

Seitan has a chewy consistency, much like meat, but is made of wheat protein (gluten). It works great as a meat substitute in any stir fry dish.

This an Italian dish made usualy with meat, mushrooms and Marsala wine. Just use seitan instead of meat and you are good to go.

Soft tacos (or hard shell tacos) can be made with fresh lettuce, tomato, beans, rice, guacamole, and you can add tempe (made from soy) for a great meat substitute.

Soy cheese and other vegetable-based cheeses are getting tastier and tastier all the time. But any of them can work as a great substitute in a dish with lost of sauce and spices. Enchiladas are a great example.

Split Pea Soup
